This Hollywood A-Lister Brought A Little Unexpected Excitement To The DMV

ULSTER COUNTY, NY — It isn't often that a trip to the DMV is the highlight of one's day, but when a movie star joins the mission to navigate bureaucracy, those making a trip to renew their licenses were treated to a brush with celebrity.

It turns out that actor Kiefer Sutherland, perhaps best known for portraying Agent Jack Bauer on the long-running Fox show "24", is just like us after all. The superstar had some business to take care of at a Hudson Valley DMV branch recently.

"New season of 24 at the Kingston DMV?" Ulster County officials pondered in a recent social media post. "A Lost Boys reunion with security team member Michelle Sullivan? We spotted Kiefer Sutherland at the DMV on Thursday — you never know who you'll see in Kingston!"

While a visit to the DMV might not have made a very compelling episode of "24," it was a welcome distraction while waiting for number "B 157 13" to be called to the window.
