Hudson Valley Heat Wave: When To Expect Cooler Weather

Scattered thunderstorms are predicted this week as cooler air moves into the region, according to forecasters.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The ongoing heat wave has made for dangerous conditions, but relief is on the way, according to forecasters.

The National Weather Service has an extreme heat warning in place for the region for Tuesday through 8 p.m., with “dangerously hot conditions” and heat index values up to 110 degrees.

Deanna Marks, observing program leader with the National Weather Service in Albany, said there will be gradual relief for the Hudson Valley starting on Wednesday.

A cold front is expected to move through the Hudson Valley region Wednesday, bringing with it a significant change to the local weather pattern.
