Hudson Valley Weekend Snow Estimates: Here's How Much To Expect
Find out the latest projected timing for snowfall this weekend, according to meteorologists.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Widespread snow is expected to impact the Hudson Valley region this weekend, with forecasters predicting between one and two inches.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southeast New York for Saturday night into Sunday morning.
“The first accumulating snow of the season is expected,” the outlook advises. “A few inches of snow would result in hazardous travel conditions.”

With this system, about an inch will fall in northern areas of the Hudson Valley. About two inches of snow is anticipated in counties closer to New York City, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists predict Saturday will be dry and cloudy, with snow starting overnight around midnight and continuing throughout Sunday morning.

Christina Speciale, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based in Albany, said the snow will taper off around lunchtime on Sunday.
“Overall, it is a quick-moving system and a minor snow event, with one to two inches of snow,” Speciale said.
Saturday is expected to be the warmer day of the weekend, with highs reaching up to about 37 or 38 degrees. Sunday’s high will be much colder, around 29 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. West wind 10 to 13 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. West wind 3 to 6 mph.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Saturday Night: Snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 25. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of snow before 1 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature rising to near 29 by 9 a.m., then falling to around 25 during the remainder of the day. Northwest wind 6 to 13 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 15.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 28.

Saturday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Sunday: A chance of snow showers before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 29. North wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 12.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 28.
