Humorist, Author Fran Lebowitz To Speak At Bard

She and literary critic Daniel Mendelsohn will discuss writing and contemporary culture at the college on April 1.

Humorist and author Fran Lebowitz and literary critic Daniel Mendelsohn will discuss writing and contemporary culture on April 1 at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, Annandale, New York.

Liebowitz is the author of “Metropolitan Life” and “Social Studies,” books of essays collected in the “Fran Lebowitz Reader.” After a 10-year hiatus from writing, Liebowitz is currently working on a new novel, “Exterior Signs of Wealth.” Mendelsohn is the author of seven books and an award-winning critic. He teaches literature at Bard College and is currently working on a book, that describes his travels with his father around the Mediterranean, while reading “The Odyssey.”
