'K9 Scotty' Helps Troopers Seize 322 Grams Of Cocaine During I-87 Traffic Stop
A 35-year-old Westchester County man was arrested during the stop in Ulster County, according to New York State Police.

TOWN OF ULSTER, NY — A K9 named "Scotty" helped make a drug bust on a Hudson Valley highway, according to troopers.
The New York State Police say that on June 2, around 6 p.m., troopers from Kingston pulled over a 2010 Infiniti traveling north on I-87, near Exit 19, in the town of Ulster.
Troopers interviewed the driver and only occupant, identified as 35-year-old Peter A. Fabregas, of Yonkers.

An exterior search was conducted by K9 Scotty, who alerted troopers to the presence of illegal substances inside the Infiniti.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of an estimated 322 grams of cocaine.

Fabregas was then arrested and taken to State Police Kingston for processing.
He was charged with felony first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and several violations of vehicle/traffic laws.
Fabregas was taken to the Ulster County Jail Central Arraignment Part, and was arraigned on June 3, in the Town of Ulster Court. He was then remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
State police say the investigation remains ongoing.
