Legoland New York is expanding its job search this year to include positions within its new Water Playground which opens Memorial Day weekend, and all staff will be receiving special training in working with neurodiverse guests, cementing the park’s commitment as a certified autism center.

The recruitment events will be held at Legoland New York Resort, and organizers said jobseekers can expect the “most fun hiring experience ever.”

There will be character meet and greets, photo opportunities, tours of Miniland, Lego build activities and more.

In addition to standard benefits such as health insurance and 401Ks, Legoland employees receive perks such as free Merlin Magic passes — for friends and family to visit any Merlin theme park — an end-of-season bonus, 30 percent off retail and food in the parks and discounts at local businesses.

Organizers said there will be on-the-spot hiring. Candidates will have filled out their pre-employment paperwork prior to the hiring event. Once on-site, those who meet the specific job requirements will be given an offer on the spot and will be told when their first day of work is and what their schedule is before leaving.
