Man Driving On Parkway Had Pound Of Cocaine: NYSP

Police also said the Massachusetts resident was driving under the influence of drugs.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — A man from Massachusetts was accused of having about a pound of cocaine while driving on the Taconic State Parkway.

New York State Police said troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2020 Toyota sedan around 2 a.m. Jan. 11 for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the parkway in the town of East Fishkill.

Police said the driver — Brandon M. Green, 31, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts — was under the influence of drugs.

Further investigation found he was in possession of about a half kilogram of cocaine.

Green was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
