The Marist Poll at Marist College has announced its collaboration with WGBH, the producer of "Point Taken." "Point Taken" is the new, late-night, multi-platform series premiering on PBS on Tuesday, April 5 at 11 p.m. and streaming online. Hosted by Emmy-Award winning journalist Carlos Watson, "Point Taken" will pose a single question to its expert panelists, who will debate a topic along with viewers in the studio audience and on social media.
The exclusive "Point Taken" Marist Poll will interview Americans on a critical issue for every weekly debate prior to each broadcast. "Point Taken" viewers see first-release results and will also be able to drill down into the scientifically collected data, find out what it means and share their opinions online as well as through social media.

“Point Taken digs deeper into the factors which mobilize people on each side of defining issues of the day,” said Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, director of The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. “Participation in debate is what democracy is all about, and we are energized to be part of this thought provoking and innovative show.”
“WGBH is honored to have the Marist Poll collaborating on Point Taken contributing research expertise and findings,” said Denise DiIanni, Point Taken’s series creator and senior executive-in-charge.
