More Than 3,000 Central Hudson Customers Waiting For Power Restoration
The power company is distributing dry ice and bottled water because in some places power may not be restored until Thursday.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Power outages from the major winter snowstorm continue to plague parts of the mid-Hudson Valley.
There are more than 3,300 Central Hudson customers still waiting for the power to come back, as of 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

- East Fishkill: 205
- Hyde Park: 618
- Milan: 358
- Pine Plains: 438
- Poughkeepsie City: 178
- Stanford: 415
- Union Vale: 282
- Washington: 191
In Columbia County, Ancram and Gallatin have more than 600 outages between the two towns.
In Putnam County, Philipstown has more than 720 outages.

In Ulster County, Saugerties has 240 outages, while Woodstock and Olive have 133 and 121, respectively.
Central Hudson said it expects to have power restored to 95 percent of impacted customers by:
- Ulster County: Wednesday, March 15 at 10 p.m.
- Putnam County: Wednesday, March 15 at 10 p.m.
- Columbia County: Thursday, March 16 at 10 p.m.
- Dutchess County: Thursday, March 16 at 10 p.m.
The power company will be distributing dry ice and bottle water beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The locations are:
- Rhinebeck: Tops Supermarket, 6726 Route 9
- Fishkill: Home Depot, 450 Route 9
- Ancram: Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Rd 7
Central Hudson officials said more than 38,000 customers had power restored as of Tuesday night, after the slow-moving nor’easter dumped heavy wet snow and brought gusty winds to the area. Initially, more than 46,000 homes and businesses lost service.
The power company warns that the forecast calls for wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour in some areas, meaning additional outages are possible.
