
Lane closures are expected on Route 55 westbound between Burnett Boulevard and Taft Avenue in the town of Poughkeepsie beginning Monday and ending Friday for construction activities, weather permitting.
Lane closures are expected to occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

One westbound lane will remain open to traffic, but motorists may experience delays and should plan accordingly.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.
Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
