New Paltz Fire Department Plans Recruiting Event
The event will offer information about volunteering, as well as instruction in CPR and AED awareness.

The New Paltz Fire Department invites the community to attend a Recruit NY event on April 23.
Recruit NY is a statewide program in which local volunteer emergency services invite the community for a day of demonstrations and activities.
The event is designed to help the public better understand what emergency responders do on a daily basis.

Community members who are interested in volunteering for the fire department can also find out more about what that entails.
The New Paltz Rescue Squad will teach and certify community members in SPR and AED awareness. There will also be demonstrations of smoke and CO detectors.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. at the NPFD Fire Station 1-25 Plattekill Avenue, in New Paltz.
