Newburgh Man Accused Of Having Sex With Child

NEWBURGH, NY — A city of Newburgh man was accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a pre-teen child.

The New York State Police said Cormega Berkley, 21, of Newburgh, was arrested Monday and charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.

State police said they worked with the Orange County Child Protective Services on a joint investigation that found Berkley had had sexual contact with a child younger than 11 years old.

He was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Cout and sent to the Orange County Jail.
