NYC Man Accused Of Having Teen Perform Sex Acts On Internet In HV

The man was charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance, which is a felony.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A 19-year-old New York City man was arrested after being accused of getting a child to perform sex acts over the internet.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said Daniel N. Montesdeoca, 19, of New York City, was arrested Thursday after a month-long investigation by the sheriff’s office Detective Bureau.

At this time, he is accused of inducing a child less than 17 years old to perform sexual acts over the internet.

The sheriff’s office said, in order to protect the victim’s privacy, no further information about them or the case will be released.

Montesdeoca was charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance, a felony, and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

After being processed, he was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court and sent to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.
