Obituary: Ted 'Teddy' Alston, Fishkill Town Police Detective
Alston previously retired as a detective from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department after serving for 35 years.
FISHKILL, NY — Funeral services for a Town of Fishkill Police detective who died unexpectedly Monday from a medical complication have been set. Detective Ted "Teddy" Alston was with the department for more than 10 years, after having retired as a detective with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
Alston worked in Poughkeepsie for 35 years.
A tribute to him on the Town of Fishkill Police Department Facebook page said, "His everyday smile and humor will be missed by all especially his brothers and sisters in blue."

Visitation for Alston will be held from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave. In Poughkeepsie.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at Beulah Baptist Church, 92 Catharine St. at Mansion Street in Poughkeepsie.
