Obscure Hudson Valley Candidate's 'Platform Is Jesus Christ': Report
Anthony Frascone, who was Republican before going third party, has not campaigned, does not have a website and is not fundraising.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — In hopes of learning more about their relatively-unknown candidate for New York's 17th Congressional District to, the Working Families Party knocked on Anthony Frascone's doorstep in Rockland County Monday to ask about his platform, according to Gothamist.
Frascone's simple answer? "My platform is Jesus Christ."
This may be true: As noted by the outlet, Frascone, who was a Republican before going third-party, "has not campaigned, does not have a website and is not fundraising." He added to his fellow party members that he believes everyone should "pay their fair share" of taxes and that "we have to come to this country legally," perpetuating the WFP's apparent suspicions that he was planted by Republicans to take votes from Democrat Mondaire Jones, Gothamist reported.

According to its website, the left-leaning WFP believes that "the richest people on Earth — and the political insiders who serve them — have rigged the rules of our economy and our democracy to grab up wealth and power for themselves."
Meanwhile, in the days just before Frascone won the June New York State primary, hundreds of former Republicans "with no prior affiliation with the Working Families Party" registered just in time to vote for him, the Hudson Independent reported.
