Orange Celebrates National County Government Month
National County Government Month is an annual recognition of important services provided by county government.

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus is proud to recognize National County Government Month (NCGM), which runs through the month of April.
NCGM is an annual recognition of all of the important services provided by county government. The National Association of Counties (NACo) has encouraged counties to actively promote the services and programs it offers since 1991. The theme for NCGM 2016 is "Safe and Secure Counties." Counties play an essential role in keeping communities safe and secure by managing justice systems, bolstering opportunities, responding to natural disasters, facilitating emergency management response and other services.

“I addressed all of the NACo themes and much more in my State of the County address last month because they are important to me and the residents that I serve,” said Neuhaus. “Orange County is proud to play a part in raising awareness about these important initiatives. The ‘Safe and Secure Counties’ theme is important and will help make Orange County a safer place to live.”
