Outages Persist After Wednesday Storms In The Hudson Valley
O&R is scheduled to distribute an additional 3,500 pounds of dry ice in Warwick. More thunderstorms are predicted for the weekend.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Outages persist the second day after damaging thunderstorms swept through the region, with disruptions greatest in Orange County.
- Orange County: 449 O&R customers still out, 339 Central Hudson customers out
- Rockland: 105 O&R customers out
- Dutchess: 361 Central Hudson customers out
- Ulster: 120 Central Hudson customers out
- Westchester: 15 Con Ed customers out, 2 NYSEG customers out
O&R officials estimated that their remaining customers should be restored by 11 p.m. tonight. Crews will continue to repair downed wires and broken poles, and clear downed trees that resulted
from the storm.
O&R is also scheduled to distribute an additional 3,500 pounds of dry ice in Warwick, NY from 10 a.m. to noon today, in the Town of Warwick Police Department parking lot. It's at 132 Kings Highway.

Central Hudson officials said they expected to have 95 percent of the customers still without electricity restored by the following times
- Dutchess County: 10 p.m. Friday
- Orange County: 10 p.m. Friday
- Ulster County: 2 p.m. Friday
