Park Vandalism Suspects Nabbed After Tips From 'Facebook Detectives': Police
After police in Goshen posted images of the suspects wanted in connection to the case, they didn't stand a chance.

GOSHEN, NY — It didn't take long to catch the suspects in the recent Myron Urbanski Town Park vandalism after an appeal for tips on social media, according to the Town of Goshen Police Department.
One of the suspects has turned himself in, and the other two have now been identified, cops said.
On Monday, the department posted images from security camera footage of the suspects in the vandalism at Myron Urbanski Town Park. Within an hour, one of the suspects had turned himself in, and the two others had been identified, according to police.

After appealing to the public for help identifying the suspects, police urged those involved to turn themselves in to authorities.
"If this is you, call our station immediately," officials said, in a post that included images from surveillance footage. "We have photos of your Nissan Sentra too. It's just a matter of time. Tick tick tick. Time to grow up and face the consequences man to man."

The strategy worked almost immediately.
"Thanks to the community's swift and cooperative response, one subject has already turned himself in at the Goshen Police Department, and the other two have been positively identified," police said in a social media post just hours after the original plea. "Your vigilance and willingness to come forward with information played a crucial role in bringing this matter to a quick resolution. This incident serves as a strong reminder that when our community and law enforcement work together, results are both swift and certain. We thank you for your continued support and commitment to keeping Goshen a safe and welcoming place for everyone."
