Patch Readers Disagree With Poll About Biden's Approval Rating
An NPR Marist Poll was released the same day as President Joe Biden was visiting Poughkeepsie to tour IBM.

NEW YORK — On Thursday when President Joe Biden was scheduled to visit the Hudson Valley — for the first time, by the way — Poughkeepsie’s Marist Institute for Public Opinion released its most recent poll which concerned the president’s approval rating.
The NPR/Marist Poll, which surveyed 1,690 adults 18 or older living in the United States, found that Biden’s approval rating had gone up.
According to the Marist Poll, Biden’s approval rating is now 44 percent among Americans, up from 41 percent in September. His disapproval rating is now down to 49 percent. In July and August, it was 57 percent. The poll's margin of error was ±4 percentage points.

Patch, in turn, asked its readers to weigh in on the results of Marist’s scientific poll — and it turns out that you disagreed.
The results of Patch’s poll, while unscientific, found that 73 percent of those who chose to vote disapproved of Biden’s job performance. Twenty-six percent approved, and 1 percent chose “Don’t know/not sure.”

John from Massachusetts offered his opinion in the comments section, saying that those who believe Biden is the worst president ever have a case of amnesia, citing unwinnable wars started by former presidents and a mismanaged COVID pandemic by former President Donald Trump.
Debbie in Smithtown said Biden was doing “awful.” She said the country is almost at the brink of World War III with Russia, and gas prices are going back up.
Theo in North Fork gave Biden “Fs” for the economy, border security, foreign affairs and American image, but gave him an “A” for speaking jibberish.
Maria from Peekskill-Cortlandt countered by asking what there was to disapprove of. “He took over a country in CHAOS – cleaned up the pandemic. Has brought the job market WAY up.”
