51-Year-Old Man Arrested On Sexual Conduct With Child Charge: NYSP

PORT JERVIS, NY — The New York State Police say the Child Abuse Unit in Orange County arrested 51-year-old Robert Worden, of Port Jervis, on Wednesday, for inappropriate sexual conduct involving a child.

The NYSP Child Abuse Unit, in collaboration with Orange County Child Protective Services, received allegations last June that Worden engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of eleven.

After an investigation, Worden was arrested and charged with felony first-degree sexual abuse, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned in the City of Middletown Court, Central Arraignment Part, and was remanded to the Orange County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 cash, $100,000 secured bond, or $200,000 partially secured bond.

Worden is scheduled to appear in the Town of Wallkill Court on January 13.
