Pawling Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student

In February, information about possible inappropriate sexual contact between a district employee and a student was given to authorities.

PAWLING, NY — A teacher in the Pawling Central School District was accused of sexually abusing a student.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said Angela N. Hill, 23, of Pawling, was charged Thursday with two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree sexual abuse, misdemeanors.

The investigation began in mid-February, the sheriff’s office said, after it was alerted to possible inappropriate sexual contact between a district employee and a student.

Hill was arrested Thursday and is accused of having sexual contact with the juvenile student on school grounds.

At this time, no further information will be released in order to protect the victim’s privacy and future court proceedings.

After being processed, Hill was released to appear in the Town of Pawling Court Thursday.

The sheriff’s office said it has worked closely with the Pawling school district during the investigation and will continue to do so as it proceeds.
