Police Searching For 2 Women Who Assaulted Dollar General Employee

According to law enforcement, the women injured the store associate while they were stealing merchandise from the store.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — Police are searching for two women who assaulted a Dollar General employee while stealing merchandise.

Wappingers Falls Police Commissioner Paul J. Italiano said, around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, officers were sent to Dollar General for two women stealing from the store.

While police were en route, Dutchess County 911 advised that the two women had started assaulting a store employee, who was injured.

Police said the women fled the store, along with two additional women. They all got into a white Nissan sedan.

The car went south on Route 9 shortly before police arrived.

The Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact Detective Geoff Weaver or Detective Sergeant Jennifer Farrell at 845-297-1011.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
