The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of the region.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Hang onto your hats Friday in the mid-Hudson Valley.
The National Weather Service is forecasting strong winds with heavy wind gusts for Friday.
A hazardous weather outlook was issued for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties for Friday that said northwest winds will increase on Friday with gusts of 35 to 45 mph expected.

If confidence increases in gusts greater than 45 mph, the weather service said a wind advisory would be issued.
