Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Having, Selling Illegal Drugs
The indictment and arrest resulted from an investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force which was completed in late August.

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — A city of Poughkeepsie man was accused of having and selling illegal drugs.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said David Brooks Jr., 22, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, felonies.
On Wednesday, the Dutchess County Court issued a warrant for Brooks’ arrest after he was indicted by a grand jury related to the sale of narcotics in the Poughkeepsie area.

The indictment and arrest resulted from an investigation by the Drug Task Force which was completed in late August.
The investigations by Task Force agents found Brooks was selling narcotics while being supervised by Dutchess County Probation after being convicted of a felony drug charge in 2022.

Agents located Brooks Thursday at Dutchess County Probation and took him into custody without incident.
He was taken to the Dutchess County Jail where he is being held until his arraignment in Dutchess County Court.
