Poughkeepsie Pair Accused Of Having, Selling Crack Cocaine
A search warrant yielded the seizure of cash, packaging materials and two cars as well, police said.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Two people were arrest in the city of Poughkeepsie after being accused of having crack cocaine.
The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said it executed a search warrant Thursday at 489 Main St. in the city.
Authorities said the search was a result of an investigation by the Neighborhood Recovery Unit into drug sales in the 500 block of Main Street.

Police said Tylor Mix, 50, and Jeanine Carpenter, 46, were arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
A quantity of crack cocaine, cash, packaging materials and two vehicles were seized, according to law enforcement.

Mix and Carpenter were taken to headquarters, where they were booked and held for arraignment.
The Poughkeepsie city police have said in the past that they are committed to targeting “hot spots” along the Main Street corridor for police initiatives based on evidence.
The Neighborhood Recovery Unit was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Emergency Services Unit and the Town of Poughkeepsie SWAT Team.
