Power Outages in Orange County

The High Wind Warning is in effect until 7 p.m.

ORANGE COUNTY, NY — More than 700 customers are out of power in western Orange County as high winds pummel the Hudson Valley for the second time in two weeks.

O&R reports there are 83 active outages for a total of 2,438 customers out of power as of 10:16 a.m. The bulk of those outages are in New Jersey; however, there are outages scattered throughout Orange County.

The National Weather Service updated its High Wind Warning early Thursday.

Outages have climbed since the 6:30 a.m. report when there were 1,504 customers without power.

The utility reports most customers will have power restored by the evening.
