Rhinebeck High School Will Present "Fiddler On The Roof"
The school's spring musical celebrates themes of love, family and tradition.
The Rhinebeck High School Drama Club will perform “Fiddler on the Roof” for their spring musical on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 at the Rhinebeck High School Auditorium, 45 North Park Road, Rhinebeck. The musical is based on tales by Sholem Aleichem, including his story “Tevye The Dairyman.” The story is set in a small Jewish village in 1905 Russia. Tevye’s reliance on tradition is challenged when three of his daughters choose to marry for love.
The songs “Tradition,” “If I Were A Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset” are featured in this musical, which explores the intersecting themes of tradition, community, family and love.
Adam Valle plays Tevye, Lisa Goldstone plays his wife, and Carly Newman, Emily Duke and Cierra Cassano play Tevye's daughters.
