Storms could bring wind, hail and lightning before the holiday, according to meteorologists.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Thursday for southeast New York, including Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

“There is potential for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms, with damaging wind gusts, this afternoon into evening,” the National Weather Service reports.
