Should Putnam County Livestream their meetings?

Sign the petition and support Laura Russo's campaign for Legislator.

Last week, we learned that legislation passed as part of the new state budget did NOT mandate local governments livestream their legislative meetings. Instead the new law says that public authorities that are overseen by county governments have to livestream their meetings.

This carve out for local legislative meetings is ridiculous. How can we expect organizations that are regulated by the County Legislature to livestream their meetings when the Legislature itself does not?
