Singer-Songwriter Mark Westin Takes Over Dogwood on 4/13
In celebration of his new album "Tales," out 4/10!

Acclaimed Rock n' Roll singer-songwriter Mark Westin takes over the stage this coming Thursday, April 13 at Dogwood in Beacon, New York. The show is in celebration of his album release (out April 10), Tales, out digitally, CD and on vinyl.
Tales is Westin’s 4th full length release as he further carves out his name I the music world. The 10-songs the make up the release are taken from an extensive 2 year period of writing where Westin wrote nearly 50 songs for the release.
Much like a book of short stories, each track on the release are character-driven narratives which will entice your ears within every listen.

The release features strong musical players deemed The Restless Age: Will Bryant, Lee Falco, and Brandon Morrison. The artists have performed with Donald Fagen, Marshall Crenshaw, Joan Osborne, The Lemonheads, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, and Amy Helm to name a few.
Westin shares of the release “I wanted the album to feel fresh and immediate, so I gave the band only basic sketches of the songs in advance and told them to go with their first instincts in the moment. We all played together live, and none of the songs took more than three takes to nail down.”
