'Suspicious Death' At Vanderbilt Mansion, Cops Seek Help IDing Victim

HYDE PARK, NY — Police are hoping someone out there can help them to identify the elderly woman whose body was found near a Hudson Valley landmark.

The New York State Police said on Monday that, along with the Hyde Park Police Department, they began investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified woman found at the Vanderbilt Mansion historical site on Vanderbilt Park Road in Hyde Park.

Around noon on Friday, a hiker found the remains of the woman lying face down near the east shore of the Hudson River, south of Bard Rock.
