Ulster Hunter Accused Of Using Noodles To Attract Bear
The hunter said the noodles were for his lunch, authorities said.

SAUGERTIES, NY — A hunter in Ulster County was accused of bear baiting in the town Saugerties.
An officer of the Department of Environmental Conservation said the person making the complaint reported that the hunter was using noodles as a way to attract the bear.
Two officers responded and walked the edge of a cornfield where the baiting had occurred until they found the hunter.

About 75 yards in front of the hunter, on the farm road, the officers found a pile of noodles.
When asked where the noodles came from, the hunter claimed he brought them to eat for lunch.

Two tickets were issued to the hunter for hunting bear with the aid of pre-established bait and for failing to wear a back tag.
