Victims Of Deadly Crash Involving Motorhome Have Been ID'd By Authorities

State police say that one person has died and another taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

WAWARSING, NY — New details in a tragic Ulster County crash have been released by police.

New York State Police say that on Tuesday, around 7:46 a.m., troopers from Ellenville responded to State Route 209, in the town of Wawarsing, after receiving a report of a two-vehicle collision.

An initial investigation found that a 2021 Hyundai, traveling north on State Route 209, failed to keep right and collided head-on with a 2004 Gulf Stream Conquest motorhome, according to police.

After the impact, the Hyundai became engulfed in flames.

The driver of the Hyundai, identified as 36-year-old Elsa M. Booth, of Ellenville, was extricated from the vehicle and received emergency medical assistance at the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Gulf Stream, identified as 68-year-old Diane R. Delehanty, of Livingston, Texas, was also extricated from her vehicle and taken to Garnet Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
