Wappingers School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

WAPPINGERS, NY — The first day of school in Wappingers is September 6 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Wappingers Central School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/10 - 9/11: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/24: Half Day (Professional Development)

November

• 11/6: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)
• 11/29 - 11/30: Parent Teacher Conference (Grades K-6)

December

• 12/3: Parent Teacher Conference (Grades K-6)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/11: Half Day/Professional Development (Grades K-6)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/8: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)

April

• 4/15 - 4/22: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/21: Half Day/Professional Development (Grades K-6)
