Weekend Weather Outlook For Hudson Valley: What To Expect

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The late spring nor’easter which is bringing rain to the region should move out of the area by early Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight, Thursday, and tomorrow night will bring the “steadiest and heaviest” rainfall from the storm, according to Joe Villani, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service based in Albany.
“The storm should be gone by early Friday,” Villani said.

From Friday through Sunday, the Hudson Valley region may experience scattered showers.
Expect cooler than normal temperatures to continue for the next few days, with highs on Thursday hovering around 50 degrees.

On Friday, the region will see temperatures in the upper 50s, followed by about 60 degrees on Saturday, and low to mid-60s on Sunday.
“It will be a gradual improvement,” Villani said.
The region can expect a mix of sun and clouds for Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Memorial Day will be the nicest of the weekend, with high temperatures around 70 degrees, according to Villani. Holiday parades and picnics should be able to proceed on schedule.
“Monday is looking like the warmest day of the holiday weekend, and the best day for outdoor activities,” Villani said.
