Weekslong Lane Reductions Along State Route 17 Underway
Construction work is expected to take place from Monday, April 7, through Wednesday, May 21, according to the NYSDOT.

ORANGE COUNTY, NY — Lane reductions along State Route 17 are planned from Monday, April 7 through Wednesday, May 21, for construction as part of the State Route 17 Exit 122 interchange project in Orange County.
The New York State Department of Transportation said that Route 17 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 122 (Crystal Run Road) and Exit 120 (Interstate 84) in the Town of Wallkill.
The construction is expected to take place on weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
