Winning Powerball Ticket Sold At That 'Lucky' Hudson Valley Smoke Shop

NEWBURGH, NY — A stop at a well-known smoke shop has paid off big time for a Hudson Valley resident.

The store became famous in 2023.

It sold two $1 million tickets in November 2022, two seven-figure lottery tickets in January 2023 and a $2 million winning Powerball ticket in October 2023, ABC7 reported. Then, in one week in March 2024, the smoke shop sold two million-dollar winning tickets, ABC reported.

More recently, the New York Lottery announced three third-prize-winning tickets worth $50,000 each were sold for Monday's Powerball drawing, including one sold at the Smokes 4 Less, located on North Plank Road in Newburgh.

The other two tickets were sold at Hudson News Book Store, located on 8th Ave. in Manhattan; and Stewart's Shops, located on North Greenbush Road in Troy.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 6-16-33-40-62 with a Powerball number of 2.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
