The restaurants are opening on the ground floor of a Midtown East mixed-use building, which was recently renovated for $150 million.

MIDTOWN, NY — Two new restaurants serving up Middle Eastern and South Indian fare are opening in a recently renovated mixed-use building at 825 Third Avenue in Midtown East, the building's owners said this week.
NAYA, a Middle Eastern fast-casual eatery with salad bowls and shwarma wraps, will open in a 1,530-square-foot space at 827 Third Avenue. NAYA is a chain that originated in New York City and now has locations all over the city, as well as Philadelphia, Boston, Jersey City, and more.
“We're thrilled to be opening our newest location on Third Avenue, which holds a special significance for us as the home of our very first restaurant," Hady Kfoury, founder of NAYA, said.

“We’re very excited to be opening in an area that caters to both local residents and businesses alike. We hope to see Madras Dosa Co. become a neighborhood staple,” Babu Koganti, CEO of Madras Dosa, said.
The Third Avenue building, owned by the Durst Organization, is also home to Rosemary’s, a beloved indoor-outdoor Italian restaurant with an airy modern farmhouse vibe.
The building was recently renovated for $150 million to add upgrades to its infrastructure and aesthetic, the organization said.
Now, the building also has a floor of indoor-outdoor amenities for the tenants, the company said.
Also opening soon on the ground floor is Bespoke Physical Therapy, the organization said.
“Third Avenue is seeing strong leasing activity due to the Avenue’s close proximity to Grand Central, new retailers, and significant reinvestment, including our recent $150 million renovation of 825 Third Avenue," said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization, said.
The Durst Organization also owns commercial properties like One World Trade Center and One Bryant Park, in addition to other commercial properties in Midtown, mostly concentrated on Third Avenue and Sixth Avenue.
The restaurants will be open for business later this year, a spokesperson for Durst said.
