Building Partially Collapses By Midtown Tunnel's Manhattan Exit
An empty building slated for demolition partially collapsed Thursday on East 34th St.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN — An empty, four-story building outside the Midtown Tunnel's Manhattan exit partially collapsed Thursday, according to police and fire officials. No one was hurt.
The partial collapse happened just before 11 a.m. at 211 East 34th St., which is slated for demolition, according to city building records.
The FDNY evacuated surrounding buildings out of precaution, a spokesperson said.

Police have closed 34th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues to traffic.
