6 Injured, 1 Hospitalized After Fire In Lincoln Tunnel, FDNY Says
Six people were injured after a car caught on fire inside the south tube of the Lincoln Tunnel during rush hour.

MIDTOWN, NY — Six people were injured after a car caught on fire inside the south tube of the Lincoln Tunnel during rush hour on Tuesday evening, leading to major delays, New York City Fire Department officials said.
According to the FDNY, the fire started at 5:41 p.m., and was extinguished by Port Authority officials.
One person who was injured was taken to Mount Sinai West, FDNY officials said. Authorities did not share the condition of the hospitalized person.

The Lincoln Tunnel to NY has a residual delay of 20 minutes due to an earlier vehicle fire. The Center tube is operating 2 way. Updates are posted when situations change.

Many NJ Transit buses were delayed as a result of the fire, and normal service resumed at around 10:51 p.m. Tuesday, according to the NJ Transit's social media.
NJ TRANSIT bus service traveling into and out of the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal is operating on or close to schedule following earlier fire department activity in the Lincoln Tunnel.
