Air Force 'Thunderbird' Jets To Zoom Over NYC Thursday
Don't be alarmed if you hear fighter jets roaring across Manhattan this afternoon — it's part of a scheduled flyover.
NEW YORK CITY — If you hear the roar of a jet engine over Manhattan Thursday afternoon, there's no cause for alarm: it's part of a scheduled flyover by the U.S. Air Force.
A set of seven F-16 fighter jets will fly along the Hudson River sometime after 12 p.m. Thursday, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
It will serve only as a ceremonial flyover by the Air Force's Air Demonstration Squadron, widely known as the "Thunderbirds," police said.

Mayor Eric Adams will view the flyover at 12:30 p.m. from The Battery at the tip of Lower Manhattan, according to his public schedule.
