Amazon Bookstore To Open In Midtown
The plans for the first Amazon Books location were announced in January.
MIDTOWN, NY — A second Amazon Books is coming to Midtown this summer.
The online retailer released its plans to open its second brick-and-mortar NYC location at 7 West 34th St. Tuesday morning, according to DNAinfo. The store is set to open in the summer.
In January, Amazon announced the opening of its first NYC location inside The Shops mall at Columbus Circle. The first store will open sometime in the spring.

The company is currently hiring store managers and sales associates for the locations.
Amazon has been criticized for taking business away from independent bookstores since the first Amazon Books opened in Seattle in 2015.
