Armed Car-Jackers Sought By Cops In NYC, Police Say
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet, police said.

MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for a group of three men who threatened two victims with guns if they didn't hand over their car keys in Manhattan this month, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the first incident was on Feb. 18, around 11:20 p.m., in front of 37 West 28 St., which is between Sixth Avenue and Broadway when the group of three robbers approached a 31-year-old man in a 2023 Bentley sedan.
The perpetrators displayed a gun and demanded that he get out of the car, authorities said.

The victim got out of the vehicle but turned it off with a key fob, and the robbers left in a white BMW and did not take his car, police said.
About 10 minutes later, the group approached a 33-year-old man in a 2024 Mercedes-Benz parked in front of 235 East 40th St., which is between Second Avenue and Tunnel Exit Street, authorities said.

The group displayed a gun and demanded he get out of the car, cops said. Then, the group split up, between the victim's vehicle and the white BMW, and drove both cars off, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made yet, police said. Both times, the victims were not injured, police said.
