Bryant Park Evacuation Over, Suspicious Briefcase Cleared as Safe
The briefcase had clothing in it, the NYPD said.

The evacuation of Bryant Park ended Tuesday afternoon at around 3:10 p.m. when cops found the owner of an unattended briefcase that they had previously considered suspicious. The briefcase was found to have clothing in it, police said. Cops evacuated Bryant Park on Tuesday at around 2:40 p.m. due to the briefcase.
NYPD called in a bomb squad in reaction to a "suspicious package," according to a Twitter account that posts police scanner traffic.
Manhattan: West 42 St & 6 Ave, NYPD calling a level 1 mobilization in regards to a suspicious package, bomb squad requested.

There were extensive traffic delays Tuesday afternoon on West 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan due to the police activity, according to the NYC Emergency Management Twitter account.
