Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen Community Board to Air Grievances on Port Authority Design Competition Wednesday Night
Community Board 4 will discuss a handful of contentious issues, including discontent with the new Port Authority Bus Terminal competition.

Community Board 4 in Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea are urging Port Authority to end the current competition to design the next Port Authority Bus Terminal and plan on airing their grievances at a community meeting tonight. They're concerned about congestion, pollution and an aesthetic inconsistency in their historic neighborhood, according to a current draft of their letter to the chairman of Port Authority.
Community Board 4, which comprises areas of Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea, will discuss its next move on the Port Authority competition Wednesday evening. It will hear opinions on the L train construction, the renovation of 334 W. 20th St., the placement of new bus fare payment systems, and several other controversial issues.
The meeting will take place at the High Line on 14th Street and 10th Avenue on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The full board agenda is here, and drafts of letters to be discussed are here.
