Dave Portnoy, Barstool Founder, 'Preyed On' Women: Report
Three young women detailed disturbing sexual encounters — including being filmed without consent — with Portnoy, an Insider story states.

MANHATTAN, NY — Several young women said they had disturbing sexual experiences with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, according to a report from Insider.
Insider spoke to three women who said their sexual encounters with Portnoy — whose company is headquartered in Manhattan — were frightening and humiliating. Two said Portnoy, 44, filmed them without getting their permission.
In the article, one of the women, who was a 20-year-old college student at the time, said the sex was painful and that she kept trying to get away from Portnoy, but he told her to stop running away. Another, who was 19, said she "felt preyed on."

In a duo of videos on Twitter, Portnoy called the article a "hit piece" and said he has never "done anything that is remotely non-consensual." He said no one will be able to prove anything "because nothing ever happened" and said no charges have ever been filed against him.
Shares of Penn National Gaming, Inc., which has a 36 percent stake in Barstool, dropped 21 percent Thursday. As Bloomberg reports, share prices were already falling after the company released its quarterly report.

Penn said it is taking these allegations seriously, and is "gathering facts," Bloomberg reported. In a statement, Barstool said the company does not comment on employees' private lives, and added the company is taking the matter seriously, and "monitoring it closely," according to Bloomberg.
This is not the first time Portnoy has made headlines; as Insider and Boston.com have noted, he has been criticized for repeatedly using racial slurs, joking about rape, and harassing female journalists.
Critics of Barstool have faced harassment both online and in-person.
