MIDTOWN, NY — It's the tale of two restaurants at the newest Midtown venture but celebrity chef and former "Top Chef" judge, David Burke.

His new spot, Park Ave Kitchen, is actually a bifurcated experience, mixing upscale dining with a more casual cafe at 514 Lexington Ave., near East 48th Street.

“We went with the two-concept model to address our vibrant Midtown Manhattan location in one of its most prestigious, office buildings, 277 Park Avenue, which has just completed a $120 million-plus renovation to update and amenitze it,” said Burke. “In fact, Park Ave Kitchen is the final element of the project and we designed it to become both a local haunt and a dining destination, appealing to various aspects of the lives of people who live and work in the area.”

At one entrance, Park Ave Kitchen is a casual 50-seat "European-style" cafe which looks to also offer both grab-and-go options for busy New Yorkers on the move.

The cafe's food options will range from a seasonally rotating roster of over a dozen salads and sandwiches plus made-to-order hot items, like a Park Ave Kitchen burger, pizzas and Burke's signature clothesline-bacon BLT. And for the first time, customers can order individual slabs of his famous bacon.

On the other side of the 6,000-square-foot space sits Park Ave Kitchen's 106 modern American Brasserie meant for more upscale eats.

In addition to more clothesline bacon, the more formal sit-down side offers highlights like tomato soup “Au Gratin,”spinach ricotta duck egg ravioli, avocado salmon waffle toast, sea scallops with butternut ravioli, and roasted chicken.
