Waze Blamed After Deliveryman Cycles Into Lincoln Tunnel: Police

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A Chinese food deliveryman is facing charges for riding his bike through the Lincoln Tunnel, a Port Authority Police spokesman said.

Bruce Lee, 19, was arrested Tuesday night after entering the New Jersey-bound tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, police said. The Staten Island resident claimed that he was riding on Dyer Avenue while making deliveries when his Waze app sent him through the car-only tunnel, police said.

After police arrested Lee, they discovered a dagger in his possession, police said. Lee is facing charges of trespassing and criminal possession of a weapon.

During the arrest, the central tube of the Lincoln Tunnel was shut down for about five minutes, a Port Authority Police spokesman said.
