Duo Shoots, Robs Man At Gunpoint In Hell's Kitchen: Police

A pair of crooks fired a gun at a man during an afternoon robbery on Wednesday, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A man was shot at during a gunpoint robbery on Wednesday afternoon in Hell's Kitchen, police said.

At about 3:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man was walking on West 57th Street near 11th Avenue when a pair of men approached him, according to officials.

The duo were demanding the young man's necklace when one of them pulled out a pistol, police said, and fired at the victim.

Luckily, the bullet only grazed the victim's pants and he was otherwise uninjured, police said.

The two men were described as appearing to be hispanic, one wearing both a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black hooded sweatshirt and the other only a single gray hooded sweatshirt, and were said to both be between five foot eight and five foot 11 inches tall, an NYPD spokesperson said.
