Fire Breaks Out In Midtown Restaurant, FDNY Says

Nobody was injured during the fire.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A fire broke out Thursday afternoon at a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, fire officials said.

The fire broke out shortly after 3 p.m. in the cockloft — an open area between a building's ceiling and roof — of Siblings NYC on 9th Avenue and West 38th Street, fire officials said. The blaze triggered an "all hands" response, which means twelve fire units consisting of 60 fire and EMS personnel operated on the scene of the fire.

Firefighters had the flames under control by 3:20 p.m., fire officials said. Nobody was injured during the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and the city fire marshals will investigate.
